Red

Red Pepto is a five-year-old gelding, 14 hands, started as a two-year-old and then pastured due to owner/breeders heath issues, no fault of his own. Raised on a cattle ranch in the Flint Hills of Kansas. They are a 50-year breeder of quarter horses and are slowing down and selling off a few horses. He's up to date on dental work and 5-way booster on December 20th. He will roan up a bit in the summer.

Red has a good mind and is athletic, a bit watchy, but never a buck and willing to go. Tough and ready for work, will bridle up and move out. He has had 6 months of steady riding getting exposed. He has good ground manners. Lopes nice circles, crosses bridges, drag logs in front and behind, side passes, cowboy curtain, and works gates. Red has had a rope swung on him with opportunities to push cows, horses, goats, and around a track on the Hot Wheels. Been started on sorting, great cow sense. During the last summer and fall Red spent many days getting wet saddle blankets on trail rides of three to five hours in the hills and creeks and is quite comfortable with deer and other Wildlife on trail. He's now being ridden on the trails of Norco, CA. Good to blanket , ties, and will load slowly with a soft confident hand.

The hard work is done and time to finish your way. He has potential to make a great ranch horse, cutting horse, and sorting horse, or looks like he could make a heeler too. Red Pepto is a double bred Peptoboonsmal and double bred Hide a Pepto. REd is selling grade with a breeders certificate.
